All members of the Friends of the Library have a number of avenues beyond financial investment to support the Leon County Public Library System, including:
- Volunteer to work our public events like our biannual Title Wave Book Sale.
- Join the Friends in our efforts to keep Tallahassee litter-free through the Adopt-a-Highway program.
- Sponsor specific Library initiatives like contributing useful items to the Library of Things.

Since 1954, the Friends of the Library has been raising funds to support library programs like the Digital Literacy Initiative, the Community Engagement program, and many others. We’ve also helped in the purchase of equipment, books, and the construction and remodel of library branches around Leon County.
